Home Technology Systems to Distribute BAM Labs Smart Bed Systems to Healthcare Channel

North American Distributor HTS Provides Resident Safety and Monitoring Systems through Certified Solution Provider Network Serving Thousands of Healthcare Facilities

Campbell, CA, October 11, 2012 – BAM Labs™, the Silicon Valley creator of the Touch-free Life Care (“TLC”) Smart Bed system, has signed a distribution agreement with Home Technology Systems (“HTS”).  HTS will distribute the BAM Labs TLC Smart Bed System through its established network of 70 Certified Solution Provider (“CSP”) locations serving thousands of Acute, Post-Acute, and Senior Living healthcare facilities in the U.S. and Canada.

“We carefully evaluate new products and technologies every year,” stated Craig Takes, President of HTS.  “The BAM Labs TLC Smart Bed system is perhaps the best we have seen in terms of a cloud connected solution – and yet, it also has the ability to integrate with our nurse call systems and electronic health records through open architecture.  In terms of value, the BAM Labs TLC System offers a very strong return on investment to customers and will greatly improve the quality of care in virtually any healthcare setting, while reducing cost and improving workflow for staff and administration.”

The BAM Labs TLC Smart Bed System makes smart bed technology available and affordable for use by any healthcare facility.  Facilities using the BAM Labs TLC Smart Bed System report having 43% fewer falls, 65% improvement in recorded position changes, and staff time savings of 1 hour per bed per day. The BAM Labs TLC Smart Bed System uses a touch-free pad placed under any bed mattress, which detects the person’s biometric signals and motion without attaching anything to the body. It transmits that data to BAM Labs’ secure cloud platform where it is analyzed for movement and heart and respiratory rate trends. This data can be viewed on mobile devices and PCs or integrated with EHRs to track health trends, manage chronic diseases, help prevents falls, reduce pressure ulcer incidence, inform rehabilitation programs, and enable sleep analysis.

“This distribution agreement will allow BAM Labs and HTS to quickly introduce the BAM Labs TLC Smart Bed system into thousands of healthcare facilities,” according to Richard Rifredi, CEO of BAM Labs.  “The ability to provide local support is one of the most important criteria we look for in a distribution partner – HTS has proven over the course of twenty-plus years that they can deliver exceptional service through their CSP dealer network. With healthcare providers moving more toward cloud monitoring and new technologies, it is imperative that BAM Labs work with partners who understand technology and can properly serve these customers.”
